Additional data: BASIDIOCARP 25-43 mm across, 25-48 mm high, subglobose, mealy, forming pointed tuffs, white to tan; peridium fairly thick; CONTEXT white inside with a distinct and large sterile base which has a spongy consistency, about 1/3 of structure; SPORES not studied. COMMENTS. Diagram on 5x8 card; compare to Calvatia species
