Medicine, fuel, miscellaneous products, construction, tannin (Balick et al. 2000:103). Common Names: Kanche', tabche', taabche', xk' anche' [Barrera, 1976]; botoncahni, botoncillo, estachahuite (Oax), madre de sol (Oax, Chis), mangle, mangle bo!oncillo (Cam), mangle cenizo (Oax), mangle negro (Oax), mangle prieta (Yuc), [Martinez, 1979, Barrera, 1976]; k'aan che', k'ookte', taab che', xk'aan che', laurelillo (Arellano et al. 2003:114).
