Description: Uses: En medicina las hojas, corteza y fruto como antihelmintico [Del Amo, 1979]; antiinflamatorio [Standley, 1930, Martinez, 1969]; antiperiódico, carminativo, hemorroides, dolor de lengua, asma [Roys, 1931]; antitusivo [Roys, 1931, Osado R., 1834]; astringente [Andrews, 1979, Martinez, 1969]; diarrea [Roys, 1931, Anon, 1949, Standley, 1930, Osado R., 1834]; dolor de rodillas [Roys, 1931, Martinez, 1969]; sarna [Del Amo, 1979, Martinez, 1969]; úlceras [Standley, 1930]; y para camaras de sangre [Anon, 1949, Martinez, 1969]; fruto comestible, con mucha vitamina "C"; el fruto para hacer conservas y para refresco; como combustible (leña) (Arellano et al. 2003:452). Food, medicine, miscellaneous products, fuel, tannin, beverage (Balick et al. 2000:98). Boil leaves in water, drink for diarrhea (Comerford 1996:334).
