Description: Uses: Dried leaves used in cooking for flavoring. Tea used for vomiting and diarrhea. With insect sawdust (frass), boiled, makes a plaster for old wounds that won't heal (Anderson et al. 2003:190). Ornamental; tóxica; medicinal las hojas como te para dolor de estómago y en sahumerios para enfermedades filiales (Arellano et al. 2003:599). Medicine, forage (Balick et al. 2000:132). Common names: Orégano (Anderson et al. 2003:190). lch cho (Arellano et al. 2003:598). Image Notes: Fruit: Minute, spherical succulent drupelet, net-like exocarp below papery protective exocarp, pistil and peduncle persistent, 2.5 mm diameter.
