Description: Uses: Fruto comestible (Arellano et al. 2003:311). Food (Balick et al. 2000:52). Common names: Koyow, cupte' (in Quecchí); voucher. Box oon, laurel, laurelillo (Arellano et al. 2003:311). Aguacate, wild pear (Balick et al. 2000:52). Image Notes: Inflorescence (immature): Four sided, minutely hirsute, spadix-like sepals, sectionally squared pedicel in section, 3.0 mm wide x 8.0 mm long.
