Description: Uses: Food, medicine (Balick et al. 2000:102). Common names: Big chigger nuts (Balick et al. 2000:102). Image Notes: Fruit: Spherical, hirsute with orange sticky stellate trichomes on smooth thick leathery exocarp, 6 carpels visible at apex, longitudinal sections dehiscent along margins, singularly placed on pedicels, 3.0 mm diameter.
