Description: Uses: Para limpiar la sangre (voucher). Medicinal, can be chewed to put on cuts and wounds as first aid in the field. Boil leaves and bathe in the liquid for talking in sleep (Anderson et al. 2003:164). En medicina, para reumatismo (Arellano et al. 2003:396). Medicine, poison (Balick et al. 2000:155). Common names: Zarza parrilla (voucher). Ya'ax k'iix ('green thorn'), kojkeej ('deer tooth') (Anderson et al. 2003:52, 242, 313). Diente de perro, tzay keeh (Arellano et al. 2003:395). Pu-ja, sarsaparilla, sarsaparillo, wild sarsa (Balick et al. 2000:155).
