En medicina para tratar la tísis [Souza N., 1942]; para utensilios: cabos de hacha, cabos de coa; madera y leña; melífera (nectar y polen) (Arellano et al. 2003:583). Miscellaneous products, fuel, fiber, construction (Balick et al. 2000:67). Common names: Moho tree (voucher). K'aaskat' (Anderson et al. 2003:166). Hakats, k'askat, [Barrera, 1976]; k'askaat [Martinez, 1979]; ets kaat, kascat, tukuch, kas kaat, x-kaskat (Yucatan) (Arellano et al. 2003:583). Algodoncillo (Oax), cualote blanco (Oax), palaste, patastillo (Tab, Oax), pataxte, patazte (Oax), pataxtillo (Tab), pepe cacao (Cam), tepecacao (Oax), [Martinez, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:583). Bala-max, broadleaf bay cedar, c'am-pác, caulote, kazkat, mahaua, male bay cedar, mountain moho, pixoy, pixoy bala-max (Balick et al. 2000:67).
