Description: Uses: Reputed that the cooked leaves are efficacious in treating bad eyes (voucher). Common names: CaƱuela (voucher). Rat rice, wild rice (Balick et al. 2000:189). Image Notes: Fruit: 2.0 mm wide x 4.0 mm long, individual grains surrounded by multiple persistent bracts, seed shiny smooth almond shaped.
