Description: Uses: Critically important honey plant, flowers mainly in march; excellent for house poles; yelloow sticky sap put on cuts, wounds, granos, skin fungus (Anderson et al. 2003:203-204). Melífera (nectar); leña; y en medicina para tratar heridas, abscesos, asma, enfermedades de la boca, inflamación de testículos, tifia [Roys, 1931]; estado bilioso [Souza N., 1942, Standley, 1930]; cauterizar heridas [Standley, 1930]; cauterizar úlceras [Souza N., 1942, Andrews, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:212-213). Common names: P'ereskuts, p'eleskuts ('warts of wild turkey') (Anderson et al. 2003:304). Chuts, kokche', k'uxubche', p'elexk'uch, sakpokche' [Barrera, 1976); ch'aw che', kok che', pehrez-guch, perescuch, perescuts, peresguch, xkok che', p'ek'es k'uuch, p'ere'es k'uuch (Arellano et al. 2003:212). Caubilla (Ver), cascarilla (Chis), copalchi (Tab, Chis), palo casero (SLP), [Martinez, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:212).
