Description: Uses: Boil and take to prevent miscarriage (Anderson et al. 2003:271). Medicinal como antitusivo, balsámico, para tratar disentería, enfermedades del hígado, hemorragias del embarazo y menstruación y expulsión de parásitos, para vómitos, contra picaduras de insectos, melífera (Arellano et al. 2003:3). Medicine (Balick et al. 2000:136). Common names: Kaabaxa'an (Anderson et al. 2003:299). Cabal xa'an (Yucatan), lengua de sapo, kaanbal xa'an, xcaanbal, xa'anil, xcabal xa'an, (Barrera, 1976); anisillo, cordoncillo, nachachicolote, papachillo (Sin), pie de gallo, soquilla (Martinez, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:3).
