Description: Uses: Medicinal para tratar postemas [Anon, 1949]; asma, dolor de cabeza, debilidad, dolor de estómago, enfermedades de la piel, enfermedades de recto, inflamación de rodillas, tuberculosis, úlceras [Roys, 1931]; hemostatico [Standley, 1930]; incordios, laxante [Martinez, 1969]; leucorrea [Standley, 1930, Osado R.,1834]; órganos sexuales, infecciónes [Osado R., 1834]; forrajera para ganado bovina y caprino; para hacer escobas, melífera (nectar y polen) (Arellano et al. 2003:421). Medicine, miscellaneous products, fumigatory, ritual, fiber (Balick et al. 2000:70). Common names: Chichibe, malva de caballo, kamba chi' ich, chi'chibe, kambachichibe [Barrera, 1976]; chi' ichi' bej, chichibe, chichibeh, chi-chi-be, chi-chi-beh, sak chichi'bej (Arellano et al. 2003:420). Ajalache (Gro), calagua (Mex), chichibe (Ver), escoba (Ver), escobilla (Chis), malva amarilla (Oax), malva castilla (Sin), malva colorada (Sin), malva de cochino, malva de platanillo (Ver), malvavisco (Tab, Chis), [Martinez, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:420). Broomweed, broom weed, chi-ch-b, chi-chi-be, chi-chi-bé, escoba, escobilla, malva, mes-be'l, wire weed (Balick et al. 2000:70).
