Description: Uses: Medicinal; se considera que es analgesico, antidiarreico, antiinflamatorio, antiinflamatorio de musculo lisa, antipirético, para combatir canas, catarro, emoliente, estimulante, gastritis, granos, hemorroides, heridas, dolor de muelas, colirio para los ojos, caida de pelo, reumatismo, sedante, varicela, viruela [Del Amo, 1979]; disturbios de estómago [Del Amo, 1979, Souza N., 1942]; melífera (nectar y polen) (Arelano et al. 2003:422). Medicine, miscellaneous products, beverage, fiber, forage (Balick et al. 2000:70). Common names: Broomweed (voucher). Ch'ilibtux [Barrera, 1976]; chichibe, chilib tuk (Arellano et al. 2003:422). Axacatzin (Azteca, Mor), escobilla, guinar (Mich), huinar (Mich), huinare (Jal), oreja de burro (Ver), panlalagua (Gro, Oax), uinari (Jal), [Martinez, 1979] (Arellano et al. 2003:422).
